Newport Blobbies led the way with a 10-0 win against MKSC Royals,
all the matches were close but the last two both went down to the
black ball, P Jenkins beat G Wild 38-37 and S Bolton beat A Peacock
41-38.
Relegated SSCC A beat the Herald Spiders 8-2 to make a good start
in their bid for promotion back to Premier status.
MKSC Five Steps ran out 8-2 winners against Herald Hornets a score-line
that flattered them, given that three of the frames could have gone
either way, I Richardson won 46-39 to set them in their way, T Ward
had a good 52-21 win they also won the doubles 41-33 again a close
match. Hornets won the next 59-25 and the final frame was won by
D Osborne 43-41.
MKSC Allsorts came out on top 6-4 against three man Windowcraft,
M Harvey winning the first frame for Windowcraft they also won the
doubles when M Harvey teamed up with T Connell to win 68-4 . A Senior
won the third singles for Allsorts in a close frame 58-47. They
then claimed the last singles to take the match.
Newport Blobbies lead the division as they won their match against
SSCC A 8-2 after losing the first frame A Williams beating N Brennan
69-39.
MKSC Five Steps are second despite being beaten by MKSC Royals
6-4, A Peacock (Royals) with a break of 25 in the doubles win with
I Page, Page winning the last frame to take the match.
The result of the night was Herald Spiders beating the previously
unbeaten Allsorts 10-0. D Claxton making a great start beating A
Senior on the black 58-50. This win inspired the rest of the team
to the first win of the season.
Newport Pagnell lost the first frame against bottom side Allsorts
when B Gray beat D Jenkins 46-35, they then won the remaining frames
to win the match 8-2.
Five Steps beat a 3 man SSCC A team 8-2 to keep up the pressure
on the leaders.
Windowcraft pulled off a good win against the Spiders to move
above them in the league. M Harvey and L Parkins got them off to
a great start, winning the first 2 frames with ease. Spiders then
won the doubles 57-8 to make a game of it. J Gregg won the next
frame on the black to restore Windowcraft's 2-frame advantage, R
Harvey taking the last to complete the win.
MKSC Royals came out on top in their match against Herald Hornets,
in what was a very good match all the games were close, I Page and
R Wilson winning the last 2 frames both on the black to complete
a 6-4 win.
Newport Pagnell are holding their place at the top thanks to a 6-4
win over the Spiders, after losing the first two frames. G Oldfield
and D Claxton shocking the leaders early on, who then settled down
to take the last three frames P Jenkins winning the last on the black
to seal the match.
MKSC Royals beat Windowcraft 8-2 to move into second place with
Five Steps, who also lost the first two frames before M Wheeley
with a break of 46 sorted them out.
SSCC A beat last placed Hornets 8-2 to move above Windowcraft
just behind the leading three teams, a couple of the frames could
have gone either way in what was a close match.
