A very enjoyable match with the result decided on the black in the last frame, in the doubles SSCC were comfortably ahead when they were snookerd on the last three reds. The escape gave Martin Glassett a chance. Up untill then he had not scored a point, but with increasing tension he potted ball after ball and finished with a 50 clearance to win the frame.
Michael Drury dashed straight from work and therefore was not well prepared to play his frame against an inform Rob Bowers. In these circumstances, Michael's early play earned him the MOM nomination, he was leading 34-27 with 5 reds remaining. The balls were not well placed for a big break but Rob, with some exceptional potting and positional play, took 2 blacks, 2 pinks and a yellow off the reds before taking all the colours for a 60 clearance and the highest break in Prem B since Ollie Durrans 62 in the 2003/04 season.
