Buckingham Snooker Club

We have four Snooker Tables. Three of them are available to members at a rate of £3.00 per hour, the other one is available but at a higher rate of £4.00 per hour as this has recently been re-clothed & will be used for League games every Monday night. Members are requested to use the other tables if available.

Membership

We are now taking new memberships for the new year season, Membership fees are as follows:

Junior/Senior Citizen £20.00 ~ Adult £30.00

There is also a £5.00 joining fee, which is only payable once for new members, so long as the member re-joins each year!

If a returning member renews within one month of the new season 1st Sep start, then they will get a £10 reduction on the above membership fees.

In house Competitions

We try to hold four in-house tournaments every year, the Club Singles & Pairs, plus Frank Bond (Handicapped) & Keyne Print Singles.

Slade Indoor Bowls Club

 What is "bowls"?  

Bowls has the unfortunate conception as an "old persons game". Yes, those that play are older rather than younger at the average club. This is not true at international or county level, where players range over all ages and both genders. It is not difficult to play at an elementary level when those that are more skilled can also get tremendous satisfaction. Like any good game, there is a large amount of luck. I was an opening bat in cricket for many years. As long as I used the skill to get the bat along the right line, of course I got lots of runs off the edge. In bowls, as long as you use your skill to enter the head in the right way, there is a lot of luck as to what happens then. If a bowler tells you otherwise do not believe him (or her). As a game we are blessed with high levels of courtesy and above all it is great FUN.
