In a nutshell the main changes are as follows:
The league format is now 6 singles frames.
To register a team, you still need a minimum of 4 players, to help avoid player shortages.
A minimum of 3 players are required on the evening.
Players can play either 1 or 2 frames, in any order. I.e. 3 to 6 players required.
Start time is now 7.30pm.
The home team fills the score card in, and hands it to the away team
visible, so the away team can be strategic if they like.
1 point per frame win.
3 points for a match win.
1 point for a match draw.
Top result is now 9 v 0.
5 point penalty for a team who does not turn up. Turn up and play with any number of players to avoid the penalty.
10 point penalties altered to 9 points.
6 point penalties altered to 5 points.
AGM 15 point penalty altered to 9 points.
Mid season meeting introduced, to discuss anything relevant, and draw the team knockout tournament.
You can legally wear hats and scarves now.
Team handicap stays the same as previous seasons - handicapped 2 singles, 1 doubles and 2 singles.
League division play off, if required, takes the Team Knockout format of 2 singles, 1 doubles and 2 singles, but off scratch.
Complaints procedure added.
Professionals are allowed to play off scratch in the league, but must play in the top division.
Professionals are handicapped individually for handicapped tournaments.
Professionals play off -28 points in scratch one day tournaments.
The 3 match qualification to enter a one day tournament is scrapped. The only requirement is to be a registered league player.
